The aim of this blog is to make note of the various things I learn as I get to know God more, mostly through reading the Word of God, but also through other avenues such as fellowship with other saints.
I believe that I am a sinner, that God exists and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and that He was raised from the dead, effectively paying the penalty of my sin and overcoming the sting of death. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior such that my sins are forgiven, I am declared righteous, and I am promised eternal life which is to be in God's holy presence for eternity when this life passes into the next.
During my earthly sojourn, my journey and goal is to know Him more so that I may fall deeper in love with Him and know His will for my life. I desire to be molded by Him, to become the person God has created me to be and do the things He's called me to do, to glorify God in the process and to have God's glory be my greatest joy.
It's so easy though to just go about each day without proactively working out my salvation, and even when I do apply myself, I often forget the things He's shown me. Thus this blog is just my attempt to encourage myself to continue abiding in God's Word and also to take notes on some of the lessons that really stood out.
